St. Brigid’s Day – Lá Fhéile Bríde – is an important Irish festival in folk tradition, celebrating fertility, blessings and protection. Most people will be familiar with the tradition of making crosses from rushes in St Brigid’s honour. For our ancestors, it signalled an end to the darkness of winter and ushered in a new season of hope and growth. The 1st of February is the feast day of St Brigid and also marks Imbolc, the first day of our spring season.
This piece is crafted using 10 carat yellow gold and does not come with a chain.
